Dawn Catucci is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) specializing in individual and group counseling for children, teens and young adults . She maintains a private practice in Pleasantville, New York .
With over 12 years experience as a clinician, and a graduate of Fordham University specializing in Educational and School Psychology, she is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are anxiety, depression ,academic and peer related difficulties.
Mrs. Catucci is a practical, interactive, solution-focused counselor. Her treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. She incorporates a cognitive behavioral approach, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, she works with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve their goals.
Mrs. Catucci is also a full time School Psychologist at Ardsley High School, and has held this position for the past nine years. She has experience with students who have a wide range of disabilities and worked with specialized school based programs for emotionally fragile elementary, middle and high school aged students. Mrs. Catucci also is experienced in working with students who have developmental disabilities. Prior to becoming a School Psychologist and Mental Health Counselor, Mrs. Catucci was a special education and a kindergarten teacher.
